October is
National Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Each October, the P.E.A.C.E. Initiative coordinates events in San Antonio to bring awareness to the problem of
domestic violence.  Events for October 2007 are currently being planned.  If you have any ideas, suggestions
or planned events, please contact us at (210) 533-2729.

The theme for October 2007 is "Family Violence:  It Is YOUR Business"

Below are some of the events planned for this year.  Events will be posted as

October 13th:  Hip Hop:  Beyond Beats and Rhymes
October 14th - 20th: YWCA Week Without Violence
October 18th:  Battle of the Builders Golf Tournament benefiting the Battered Women's Shelter
October 20th:  Center for Women 25th Anniversary

My Fair Lady Gala benefit for Dress for Success San Antonio
October 24th:  Peace Day - UIW

Phoenix Awards
October 25th:  30th Anniversary Gala, Battered Women's Shelter
