The mission of the P.E.A.C.E. Initiative is to educate the public
about the extent, and often-deadly consequences of domestic
violence and respond effectively through collaborative efforts.  

Putting an End to Abuse through Community Efforts Initiative...
is a coalition of 48 agencies, organizations and individuals working
collaboratively to end violence in families.

The San Antonio Police Department responds to approximately 32,000
family violence and domestic disturbance calls each year.

Domestic violence is a major factor contributing to the problems of crime,
injuries, drug and alcohol use, teenage runaways, homelessness, and
other social issues.

Be a Part of the Solution!

Learn about Domestic Violence!  The P.E.A.C.E. Initiative offers free
training and education to groups wanting to learn more about domestic
violence.

Volunteer! The P.E.A.C.E. Initiative and other local programs need
volunteers to assist in efforts to prevent domestic violence and assist
those in violent relationships.
