Trainings: The P.E.A.C.E. Initiative provides educational trainings and workshops on issues related to dynamics of domestic violence, victim assistance, domestic violence in the gay/lesbian community, etc. Trainings are provided to a multitude of groups and agencies including, schools (k-12), law enforcement, probation/parole, juvenile detention, parenting groups, employers, neighborhood associations, church groups, counselors, medical professions, and other interested groups.
Awareness and Outreach: The P.E.A.C.E. Initiative strives to bring domestic violence issues to the forefront of our community. P.E.A.C.E. members and volunteers attend community and health fairs, distribute information, and educate others about domestic violence.
Consulting The P.E.A.C.E. Initiative is available to consult with groups and individuals to prevent and end domestic violence in the community.
Speaker's Bureau The P.E.A.C.E. Initiative maintains a list of educated speakers available to talk to groups on various issues related to domestic violence. Topics vary but can include protective orders, domestic violence and child abuse, prosecuting domestic violence cases, elder abuse, domestic violence in the gay/lesbian community, teen dating violence, etc.
Community Organizing The P.E.A.C.E. Initiative can help groups and individuals wanting to organize and facilitate positive change to end and prevent domestic violence. Examples include house meetings, opportunities to educate/impact municipal government, email blasts about events regarding this issue, working within grassroots efforts to do systems change work regarding domestic violence.
Advocacy The P.E.A.C.E. Initiative strives to ensure an effective response to domestic violence in our community. Members and staff work to ensure that policies and procedures within the various systems encountered by victims of domestic violence are adequately addressing their needs.
